A CANZUK Union and Peace in the Middle East

A CANZUK Union, as the heir to the British Empire, could be the solution to a problem that the British Empire helped to create.  Peace in the Middle East could be a serious proposition as part of CANZUK diplomacy.

Could the Jewish state of Israel, within the 1967 borders and a member of a CANZUK union be a viable starting point for a solution to the current problems?

A defensible state with the backing of the military of the CANZUK members could be an achievable option. Such a guarantee could create the basis for an independent Palestinian state that Israel could live with. As a single nation that is part of a broad absolute security guarantee, Israel could safely cede some of the land that it gained during its defensive war of 1967.

Peace cannot be based on wishful thinking.  It has to be based on power and security and the ability to enforce any peace settlement in perpetuity.

A CANZUK Union with Israel as a member would have sufficient security guarantees to allow for a viable Palestinian state. There is enough cultural shared ground to make such a proposal possible.
